3. Plan of Happiness
“In the premortal
realm, spirit sons and daughters knew and worshipped God as their Eternal
Father and accepted His plan by which His children could obtain a physical body
and gain earthly experience to progress toward perfection and ultimately
realize their divine destiny as heirs of eternal life. The divine plan of
happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave.”

Before this life, we lived with our
Heavenly Father in the Premortal world as spirits. There, Jesus presented a
plan in which we would all come to Earth and gain a physical body. On Earth, we
would be given trials that would test us as well as travel through a veil that
made us forget our premortal life. We would also be given the ability to choose
between right and wrong. Part of the plan includes individuals getting married
and sealed in the temple to their spouse for time and all eternity.
